I don't think it takes too many words to explain that this photo is of my totally bitchin' boys.
I remember the year this picture was taken as being one of the best of my life.... I was 32/33 and on top of the world. CC had left his nightmarish 3's behind him, Destructo was a dream, I wasn't working and had both of them in preschool.... I had a group of girlfriends whom I adored so much that I still attended my playgroup every week even though I didn't have a child to bring along! I was into NY Times crossword puzzles and had time to read all the books I wanted. I had no ambition for more and was perfectly content with life as it currently was.
Man, weren't those the days....
I'll say...
ReplyDeleteGreat photo as always.
xo
Beautiful photo. I attended playgroups solo for a while too--the happy hour ones.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, the boys got your personality! :)
ReplyDeleteThat's an awesome photo. I loved your post too, as i need to remind myself often about how good it is right now with my son, who's 18 months old. I look forward to the changes, but he and I are in a really good place right now.
ReplyDeleteHow cute! Whenever my husband tells the boys "rock hands" they immediately do that and stick their tongues out. What a bunch of dorks!!!!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Wordless Wednesday!
I meant Wordful Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteI love that picture!!! So, are you saying that I'll look back on these young days as the easy ones? Shit.
ReplyDeleteYour boys are SO good-looking, they could both be movie stars!
ReplyDeleteSecretia Teller
Remember naps? Those were the days...
ReplyDeleteI've been suffering from nostalgia lately too. I miss those early days of playgroups and naps and early bedtimes, not to mention only two kids. Now it's all rush to the arena, get off the Wii, have you done your homework, go to bed 'cause Mummy's tired and leave your brother alone!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I posted some pics that will make you giggle.
You know that doing crossword puzzles is the first sign of madness right?

okay, as much as love the company of great girlfriends, I can't say I'd show up to be with them and their kis when I was sans my own. Were you feeling well at the time? Not feverish or anything? ;)
