I've Created a Monster!

My three-year-old just came into my office saying, I kid you not, "Mom, can't charge my iPod!" I was like, "What?" because he is working that adorable little 3-year-old's impenetrable-speech-thing most days. And he repeats, exactly, "Mom, CAN'T charge my iPOD!" I turn from the computer to see him with headphones in and holding the iPod that came out of the recesses of a drawer a few days ago to be deposited in my 7-year-old's eager hands. He held it up (Oooooh, would Destructo be pissed if he saw this!) and the problem was obvious: the headphones weren't plugged in.

There's a reason why toddlers shouldn't be allowed to have these things....

Anyway, I plugged in the headphones, he lit up with one of those "I am so pleased with myself for being so fucking cool, don't you see how awesome I am, too??" grins, started bopping his head to the music and danced out of the room.

What a glorious morning!!

  6. Adorable!

I remember my son, listening to The Lion King, wearing headphones and singing his little heart out... quite loudly! And he was, and still is, a terrible singer! LOL something poor Tim inherited from me.

  8. When I am using my iPod sometimes I will let KiKi use one of the earbuds while I use the other. She thinks that is awesome.

  11. They are more advanced than we are. They didn't have computers when I was a kid. My grandson can navigate anything online.

I think it is cool that he likes the music.

  12. Of course, his coolness depends on what he was listening too.
