My three-year-old just came into my office saying, I kid you not, "Mom, can't charge my iPod!" I was like, "What?" because he is working that adorable little 3-year-old's impenetrable-speech-thing most days. And he repeats, exactly, "Mom, CAN'T charge my iPOD!" I turn from the computer to see him with headphones in and holding the iPod that came out of the recesses of a drawer a few days ago to be deposited in my 7-year-old's eager hands. He held it up (Oooooh, would Destructo be pissed if he saw this!) and the problem was obvious: the headphones weren't plugged in.
There's a reason why toddlers shouldn't be allowed to have these things....
Anyway, I plugged in the headphones, he lit up with one of those "
I am so pleased with myself for being so fucking cool, don't you see how awesome I am, too??" grins, started bopping his head to the music and danced out of the room.

What a glorious morning!!
ooh you are brave i would not let my 3 yo within 10 feet of my ipod..i cannot imagine the grubby fingerprints i would have on it
ReplyDeleteawwwwwwwwww what a cute way to start off a morning. They are so funny when they think they know what they are talking about
ReplyDeleteAnything to entertain them!! Music is good for him calms the beast!!
ReplyDeleteKids that age are so damn smart! Then they become teens and become smart asses.
ReplyDeleteCan he charge my Ipod too? I keep forgetting to do it. What a smarty!!!!
ReplyDeleteAdorable!
ReplyDeleteI remember my son, listening to The Lion King, wearing headphones and singing his little heart out... quite loudly! And he was, and still is, a terrible singer! LOL something poor Tim inherited from me.
Oh I feel ya. My 9yr old is now loading here songs off my i-tunes list ( with my guidance as so not to get any inappropriate songs ) and her brother 6 the same. Next it is the whole DS thing. Unbeavable.... He look like a little stud.
ReplyDeleteWhen I am using my iPod sometimes I will let KiKi use one of the earbuds while I use the other. She thinks that is awesome.
ReplyDeleteWe down loaded some kid song onto our ipods for the kids to listen to on the plane. It works amazing.
ReplyDeleteHah! Love it..these kids, I tell ya! On a similar note, my 20 month old now knows how to scroll through my iPhone better then me. Scary stuff.
ReplyDeleteThey are more advanced than we are. They didn't have computers when I was a kid. My grandson can navigate anything online.
ReplyDeleteI think it is cool that he likes the music.
Of course, his coolness depends on what he was listening too.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't Britney was it?! Oh, I have something for you at my place.
Of course he's cool! My 5 year old has her own MP3 so she won't break mine and she rocks out to Hannah Montana.
ReplyDeleteYup. Two year old asked his uncle "is it digital?" about his camera...
ReplyDeleteHe's a smarty! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteNext thing you know, he's going to be changing the ring tone on your cell phone.
ReplyDeletethat is an adorable photo of your little dude :-)
ReplyDeleteSo adorabalicious! Now, what was he listening to?
ReplyDeleteBeyond adorable little guy. I can just imagine the pride. What a great age.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie! Those 3 year olds have got the "I am so pleased with myself" looks down pact, don't they?!
ReplyDeleteYES! gotta have tunes - thankfully my youngest has no interest - my boys are all about anything Dad does ...
ReplyDeleteHe's the man now. I sent you an award
ReplyDeleteMy granddaughter just got a Nintendo DS for her fourth birthday...and I'm like, "What's a Nintendo DS?!?"
ReplyDeleteDo you know how fast my three year old would shred an Ipod?...Seconds:O
ReplyDeleteYour son is pretty cool. What was he listening too?
