Being Busy is For the Birds

I will be back next week after the fashion show has been staged and life as returned to normal. Hopefully I will have some great photos to share of the show, as I think it will be pretty fab. I finally bought a pair of Spanx, in preparation for getting fitted for a wedding dress for the show, and HOLY SHIZNIT! Why have I not had these in my arsenal before now?! I wore it to try on some of the other outfits that were selected for me and that wonder of foundational security actually made me feel comfortable wearing a clingy, wraparound-type dress! This is a style that has been popular for how many years now? Four? Seven?? I don't know. But I do know that I've tried them on every now and again and always sigh and say, oh, it's just not for my body type, as I felt uncomfortable with the bulges here and the sags there.... Spanx just smooth everything out and firm it all up, so your clothes hang just right. And they take about an inch off of your waistline. Unbelievable. :)

I may, or may not, be the only mom on the catwalk that is working the 'model-glare' that I am threatening you with in the video. ;) I swear it is only me concentrating on getting my steps right, not that I hate you.

AND: Respect to all you working people that still have time to mess around on-line. Seriously, total respect. I have been hightailing it all over for the past week and I've thrown up my hands in total defeat where the blog is concerned! Much less facebook time. I am exhausted and just want to stare at a TV show and crow about how twisted Dexter is and then fall asleep!
