Every day is cloudy now. If we're lucky, the sun breaks through for at least part of it, and so far we've been pretty lucky. These two cloud pictures were taken about 3:30 in the afternoon, the sun is so incredibly low at that time and it is completely dark by 4:30. I can't imagine what it is going to be like in December!

The Animal, leading the charge through the cow pasture. I'm not sure how much longer we'll be able to make this walk in the afternoons, so we've been making the 2 mile trek if there is a hint of sunshine.

This house is one of our favorites, it used to be covered in brilliant red ivy. Now that is has been denuded by Autumn, it appears to be suffering from varicose veins. It pains me to know that this home used to be the village pub and now I will most likely never get to see the inside. :(

All photos shot with Nikon D300.
The sky shots are fabulous! I really like the pasture shot too.
ReplyDeleteThose are some branches crawling up the house, it must have looked just beautiful with the ivy.
ReplyDeleteI remember those long gloomy, wet winters. There's a chill that never quite leaves. You make it look beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLove the architecture shot! I friend of mine bought an old pub and refurbished it into a house! So cool! The sky shots are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWow... despite the faded colors, you and the kids seem to be bursting into bloom!
