Someone had a visit from the tooth fairy!!

This next picture helps clarify some of my anxiety regarding dressing for BlogHer.
What is this sad thing you see? That's my CLOSET, people. I packed up 80% of my clothing into the sea container bound for our new house in England. THIS is what I have left at my disposal....

This is where I sit to watch the kids while they swim. Sweet, huh?

At our local pallet maze, Fort Custer. Made it through in 36 minutes and "We only cheated TWICE." according to CC and Destructo.
This picture was taken with a Lensbaby Muse... isn't it fun? (You can check out these lenses at BlogHer in the Shutter Sisters' Suite, btw.)
The summer humidity is unkind to my hair-type. Not nice at all.

More Lensbaby action. The Animal dog-paddling (appropriate, non?) his way to the tube.

This week in Iowa started out like any other beautiful summer week.... then it turned into November. It started with wind, my God, THE WIND, like a hurricane, gusting in from the NorthWest, then it turned cold. I had to turn on the heat because it was about 58ยบ for two days! Check out the Air Chairs, practically blowing horizontal, in front of our cottage:
I don't care what you wear - I can't wait to meet you! Yay!
ReplyDeleteI do not get what the hell is going on in Iowa at this moment, what with THE WIND! Seriously, THE WIND! and the cooler temps, but oh, to have the windows open and the breeze wafting through (after THE WINDS!) at this point in an Iowa July? OK, thank you, global warming. I'll regret saying that one day in the future, I'm sure, but at the moment, it is bliss where I'm sitting. I hope it is where you are, too!
ReplyDeleteYour summer looks like a smashing good time. Who could beat a seat by the lake? My laptop with it's wonky battery cowers at your laptop's apparent super charged powers!
Oh, and one more thing - the makeover? Very cool! Or should I say jolly good? I feel like I should be humming the theme to Monty Python or The Young Ones when it pops up! Love it!
Fabulous snaggle-toothed smile. Hope the Tooth Fairy is generous.
ReplyDeleteI did hear about a sea container spilling and lots of ladies' clothes drifting in the sea. Wasn't your container was it?
ReplyDeleteAm so very jealous of that lensbaby!! Congrats on the tooth fairy visit
ReplyDeleteLove the smile in the tooth fairy shot. Lensbaby rocks. Love the shots.
ReplyDeleteLiking the new look. . . and love your hair regardless of the weather. . .
ReplyDeleteYou are so sweet to link to my blog on Twitter!!!! And are you an Iowa girl too????
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the shout out! You are awesome :)
Fab pics especially tooth fairy...so cute.
ReplyDeleteHope that cute little guy scored with the tooth fairy!
ReplyDeleteThough I'm not attending BlogHer, I hope to get to meet you at some point...if only via the web. I'm Kellie, by the way, a new blogger (four whole months now).
ReplyDeleteYour post on the Karaoke thing was hilarious! I too have the need to belt it from the stage occasionally. Anyway, I will be back to your blog! Take care.
I wish my son Gil's teeth would fall out on their own! They NEVER just fall out! We have to go to the dentist to have all his baby teeth pulled out, or else they just STAY THERE! I'm telling you!
ReplyDeleteCan I request for the tooth fairy to come over and KNOCK his loose teeth with her wand?
