Welcome to the scattered remains of my dignity, ladies and gentlemen. But I'm dancing across them, so it's okay! What's that you say? The state of my dignity was already in question? Well, be that as it may, I have added another dimension to my pathological desire to entertain you. Enter: the video-log.
Today, the Three Bay B Chicks, Ann On and On, Bantering Blonde, Hangin’ with Mrs. Cooper, and Yours Truly will all be dishing about our husbands. Please click over to check out their vlog's, too! And if you like what you see and think to yourself, "Why, THIS is something I'd really like to get in on and support!" Then that badge, located in my right-hand column, is right there and ready to copy and paste right onto your own awesome blog. ;-)
I've got to say that I was honored, flattered, excited, challenged, and scared (in that order) when the ladies at Three Bay B Chicks invited me to participate in their Chick Chat VLOG series... then I sat my ass down in front of the video camera and had a blast recording and editing it. ~Honestly, I'm afraid they've created a monster. A monster in artfully applied makeup that will be mugging for cameras in a blog near you in the very near future! HEE!
And for those of you who know that I love me some karaoke.... Let's just pretend the Whitney moment at the end of the vlog didn't happen, shall we? If I've learned anything from American Idol, it should be to stay away from her song catalog, but I just. couldn't. resist. :)
Want to join in on the fun and participate in an upcoming Chick Chat? Let us know by sending an e-mail to contactchickchat@gmail.com. The Three Bay B Chicks are always looking for participants and topic suggestions.
Oh my, you're a hoot! We could totally have some bitchin' times together. :)
ReplyDeleteThe snoring thing--every night occurence at our house...sometimes I think about taking that pillow of his..and...well, never mind..I love my hubby too.. Great chick chat...and you're a singer too..! :)
Oh my goodness I just laughed so hard that KiKi was giving me strange looks. That has happened so so many times here. My favorite part is when they get all huffy and say they are "trying" to roll over. Yeah, seriously not that hard dude. Did I mention I love my husband?
ReplyDeleteOh my God! I can't stop laughing! I love the subliminals (did I mention I love him) throughout. This SO could have been made by me. But.. my husband cracks his knuckles in his sleep .. which is the ONLY time he does that.. and grinds his teeth.
ReplyDeleteI have found the perfect remedy for snoring. No. it doesn't make him stop.. but you can't hear him/. Silicone ear plugs baby.. the type the swimmers use. MUST have been invented by a woman for this purpose, but the swimmers adapted them.
Thanks for starting my day of with a deep belly laugh!

ReplyDeleteI love that he tells you "I'm working on it". It's so funny what comes out of my hubs mouth when I'm trying to wake him up from sleeping. I always just nudge him very hard. Doing it nicely went out the window years ago.
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you.
I couldn't stop laughing. I love the "I'm working on it" ....why did I have to follow someone else who said the same thing? Whatever! You are FuNnY!
ReplyDeleteFrig you are FUNNY!
ReplyDeleteHow will I ever compete with that kind of hilarity?? Seriously. How.
BlogBaby
I love this--you're fabulous. What I find works best is a pillow over his head.
ReplyDeleteI laugh (and laugh and laugh) because it's true. So very true. I just hope my husband knows how much I love him after screaming at him to shut up the other night when he was snoring. I mean screaming. My kids were terrified. I may be a touch hormonal. In fact, double check that it's actually your husband snoring before you roll him over the next time. There's a really strong chance what you're hearing is my husband.
ReplyDeleteHas Simon from American Idol called yet this morning? Your clip has been up for a couple of hours now. I am thinking that you MUST be on your way to sign up for the next season of AI.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for playing along Amy. You just plain rock.
-Francesca
You are hilarious! The video was absolutely classic... and the singing at the end?! You are GOOD!
ReplyDelete"I'm working on it!" - ???
ReplyDeleteI would have so loved to be part of his subconsious at that moment...
"dude, get up, seriously dude, get. your ass. up. She means business. OK, don't say I didn't warn you."
And you are totally hawt! Off to vote.
Amy-this was hysterical. I don't think I could ever come close to something so funny. Even though I was inclined to try, while sitting here in panties and bra. But that would just be people laughing at me, not with me.
ReplyDeleteI've been known to punch my husband in the nuts to make him stop snoring!
ReplyDeleteLove it! You totally made my 3 year old son come running over to the computer when you started singing!
ReplyDeletePS--and I totally relate to the snoring thing. I sleep on the couch many a night....
ReplyDeleteYou had me laughing so hard, I almost peed my pants:) Love the song at end!
ReplyDeleteHugs and Mocha,
Stesha
Oh my.. I never knew you had such a nice voice. That was hilarious. I have to admit I kill my poor wife with the snoring. Oh, I mean I do not snore. Never. Great job with the Vlog. Keep on rock-in sister.
ReplyDeleteThis was hilarious!
ReplyDeleteAnd I punch my husband in the head, at least 3 times a night to get him to stop snoring.
I am so sad my computer camera is broken. Francesa asked me to participate in this one, and it would have been so fun!
And you are adorable.
Oh my gosh I could not have laughed any harder! My son is staring at me with a mommy what are you doing look. That was priceless - are we married to the same person? You stole the covers at 8 months pregnant... I physically shoved mine out of bed after the exact same first attempts to silence him failed. You should have seen the look on his face when he awoke mid-fall. ;-)
ReplyDeleteMine claims he does not snore, but now I am motivate to record him...and make a 'Honey I love you so much...but' vlog, you are a hoot, and a hollar as we say in the south!
ReplyDeleteVery creative video, and sing on girl, sing on...
You are ABSOLUTELY hilarious! This has got to be the MOST hilarious VIDEO I have ever seen. WOW! I am so a follower.. seriously! And then on the side ..three boys and a man/child husband.. LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. I will be in MORE often!!

Yeah. . . I totally love my snoring husband too (when he's not snoring. . . )
ReplyDeleteYou are absolutely HILARIOUS!! Loved the part 'I'm working on it!' I can SO relate to a (loudly) snoring hubby...I accidentally made him fall out of bed one night elbowing and kicking him trying to get him to roll over...he finished the night in the guest room...(grin!!!)
ReplyDeleteOMG you are so funny that was a brilliant Chick Chat! Bravo!!
ReplyDeleteTHAT WAS FREAKING HYSTERICAL!!!
ReplyDeleteMy husband just walked in and said "What.was.that?"
I shhshed him. Oh yes I did!!
Still laughing!!!
You are a natural- actress, singer, v-logger, what can you NOT do????

ReplyDeletehilly77@comcast.net
Fabulous! Simply Fabulous! The editing was perfect, too - all the "I love him"'s placed so neatly about the video.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I'm tired and ready for bed and when you pretended to snore, I almost wanted to reach through the screen and hold your nose ('cause that's how I handle the snoring... before I punch him in the ribs, which always works) but then I remembered you were Amy and not my husband and I think after cackling so hard at your video, I'm going to bed now.
Congratulations on your newest venture - you rocked it.
VLOG...makes me think immediately of "VaginaLog"...hey...it's not my fault my brain works that way! Ha!
ReplyDeleteI'm not grabbin' no badges unless mine is grabbed first! Ha!
ReplyDelete:)
That's hilarious! You did a wonderful impression of my husband snoring!!
ReplyDeleteAnd - wow! - you can sing!
I'm sure my wife could tell you some stories about my snoring. Awesome video! Hilarious!

OMG that was freakin histerical!!!! LMAO, I'm so glad my husband doesnt snore. he grinds his teeth............um just as bad!
ReplyDeleteNice work Amy. That was damn impressive on many levels and as Randy would say (as in Jackson) "Girl, you can SING!"
ReplyDelete:-)
Um...excuse me...did I miss the part where you are GORGEOUS?!
ReplyDeleteAside from that, I say next time you put your foot in it and physically push him off the bed and onto the floor with your feet. I may or may not know this from experience. Works like a charm.
Stop it. Stop it right now! Are you for real? That was hilarious!!! You're killin me woman! I just have one question.
ReplyDeleteDo you love your husband?
this was so hysterically true and isn't it weird they all do it???? mine never "thinks" he's asleep!! HE'S SNORING!! but swears he's not asleep, every night, the same so now I poke him in the side, sort of gently the FIRST time and he turns over obediently like he's a sleeping trained man , hahahaha, it's so funny, BUT if not, he will, you guessed it, wake up to tell me he's not asleep again.... and this is the best part...we've been married for 36 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! kid you not, it's always been the same, he's never changed and it's his story and I guess he's stickin' to it... sigh...
ReplyDeletethanks for the laughs!
X
hysterical, you must have had so much fun making that!
ReplyDeleteThis is performance art of the highest order, Amy. So funny -- and I bet that we can all identify. I had a similar experience last night, in fact -- although my husband does this weird whistling thing . . . same arm thing, lying on the back position though.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Your hair looks great, too!
In the beginning of your video I was wondering how you remember an event that happened 3.5 years earlier so well that you could blog about it....now I know why!!! Great work!
ReplyDeleteOh Em Gee! You are hilarious!
ReplyDeleteOh that is so funny (and sweet because you LOVIE LOVE LOVE him). There's no way I could ever blog about my husband because he knows so many people who read my blog, but I ever move to Wisconsin I'm totally coming over for coffee and a little chit chat.
ReplyDeleteI'll tell you all about the time he asked me to make him a PP&J while I was IN LABOR. I kid you not. (Lovie love love him sooo much). Your blog rocks!
