Whoa, talk about looking a gift horse in the mouth.... I shall never receive another badge in blog-land again after this poor showing. ;-) Despite my desire to understand what exactly the badge means being somewhat stymied, I am extremely grateful to the amazing Braja over at Lost and Found in India, for honoring me with it. Go check out her sight for amazing stories of her life in India interspersed with Chipper Little Daily Sayings. I became smitten with her when I read her profile and then hit her list of 100 and her smart-ass comments make me laugh out loud. Thanks, Braja!!!
So my job now is to send this badge on it's way to three more sites. I'd like to send this little badge of honor and confusion (I may not understand it literally, but I accept that it is figuratively an affirmation of bloggy honor and camaraderie) to a few of my favorite blogs.... The FIRST really is proximal, as she is based in the same fair city as me (to continue being blunt, though, today's weather is not "fair" at all, in fact it is exceptionally shitty).... Ann, over at Ann's Rants, this one's for you! Ditch my crummy site and wallow in the hilarious SAHP Work Week Widow rants that Ann dishes out every day. Being a parent during flu season was never so funny!! Her writing is exceptional and I guarantee you will be hooked if you start reading.
SECOND, I have one for, aptly enough, Ann Again...and Again. I haven't been following her long, but any woman who's husband has the moniker of "Guitar Guy" and is willing to share her harrowing perm misadventures of yester-year is tops in my book.
And THIRD, but never least, is Marla over at Pak Adventures.... this is the wonder-woman that got me hooked on this blog craziness in the first place! We've never met, but between our many connections, her fantastic blog, and some great personal emails that helped me through my early mid-life crisis that sparked some blog rants of my own, I feel like I know her and love the heck out of her. :)
So, ladies, please grab a badge and pass it on to three more people if you're feeling the love, and then put it in one of your sidebars to show your "proximidade" spirit. *~*
lol...I know. I have no freakin' clue what it means. Meh. I'll take it. And so will you. Now shutup :)
ReplyDeleteLike your 3 picks...just crusing thru them now. thanks for the shoutout. Which of course is the only reason we're all doing this, right? Shameless self promotion handballed to someone else. Voila!
I made it!
ReplyDeleteThis is great! I'm oh-so-happy :->
How cool.
(I believe I will have a bit of bubbly to celebrate!)
This is one of my favorite blog awards. I have no idea what it means either. Who came up with this thing?
ReplyDeleteCongrats girl! You deserve it!
ReplyDeleteHahaha! I'm sure you deserve this award, even though I, like you, have no idea what it means. But congrats anwyay!
ReplyDeleteas a follow up, I found this on another site that had been given this award: This blog invests and believes the PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award."
